THE MISSION...
"Jesus didn't say anything about services but he said a lot about serving..."
Jesus said a LOT about serving but nothing about services. He said a LOT about relationships but very little about religion. He never established an organization or an institution but He established a new order and kingdom. The old order was based in darkness. It was about hiding, covering up our wrongs, rationalizing, excusing etc. The new order is about truth, transparency, humility and taking responsibilty for ourselves and those around us. It's a new kindgom not based on fear or control but based on love and giving. It's a kingdom no longer rooted in selfishness but selflessness.
He calls us not to comfort but to a cross, not to security or worldly success but to a life of risk. He calls us to "lose that which we can not keep to gain that which we can not lose" (Jim Elliot's words). He calls us to a revolution of love not a revolting self-righteousness. He calls us to self-negation not self-realization. He calls us to a life of JOY, PEACE and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. He calls us to the infinite pleasures that only a God pleaser can know. He commands us to LOVE GOD WITH ALL We'VE GOT, LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR AS OURSELF, PREACH THE GOSPEL, MAKE DISCIPLES...
Every day in our everyday life we can do it. He enables us. HE IS the life the truth and the WAY. Say no to yourself, say yes to Him, live the mission today, in little and big ways, anyway you can, and experience the fullness of joy that only those who live THE LIFE can enjoy. You'll be singing that song; "When I do His will, I feel His pleasure... ", Oh how great it is!!!

- Jon and Dulce Eastlick
- My wife and I have been in missions since 1983. God has graced us to respond to His great love over the years by serving Him in various ministry capacities. We have worked with youth, children and adults on 3 continents. We have learned languages and cultures In the USA, Africa, and Central and South America. We have visited many other countries and have worked with many denominations and people from all kinds of backgrounds. We have had the privilege of partnering with church plants in Mexico, Brazil, the states and in Africa. We have helped found a YWAM mission base, Discipleship Training Schools, a jail ministry, and Mission Freeport. We have assisted with or led dozens of short term mission teams in Latin America and Africa. Dulce has trained and raised up several worship teams. We currently lead cell groups and work on staff at a large growing church in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. Hi Jon & Dulce. You've been on my heart alot lately. I googled you and found your sermon off crossroads' website; watched you preach(the same-old passionate ndugu)powerful message about famous faith. Dude, you still look and sound young. Cant believe it. I've told my wife alot about you.She knows she has to do DTS someday. You and Danielle impacted my life forever; Even after arriving in the states I helped lead mission teams to Belem, Brazil; Mexico and Dominican republic, and worked with inner city kids in Denver, CO. Even though I havent gone on missions in a while, Im still passionate about missions esp medical missions (wife and I are in the medical Field).Thats our dream- Go back home and set up medical camps. I dont want to write too much. Just wanted to thankyou for the sacrifice of your life to those of us in need. The seed you plant, my brother, is not in vain. Indeed your faith is famous just like the thesolonians you talked about in the sermon. I will forever be thankful God for the impact you had in my life at DTS shimba Hills, Mombasa.
